Ascot Chauffeur
Sunday, May 16th, 2010A highlight of the calendar and always guaranteed to attract a strong crowd, a favourite for most seasoned circuit eventers and sunny weather all week! well hopefully, it can only be Royal Ascot! The greatest race meeting in the world.
Royal ascot this week starts on the 15th until ther 19th of June 2010 see http://www.ascot.co.uk/index.html and for all those travelling may we remind patrons using a Limo or Chauffeur car or taxi to use fully licensed and insured vehicles at all times.
The Police and VOSA will be in full attendance every day of the meeting and random check will be carried out on drivers and operators alike looking for the rogues who bring this industry into disrepute.
Uninsured drivers and cars involved in accidents with you on board leave you no rights to claim rightful compensation for losses and injury whilst a passenger (not without a struggle anyway) not to mention the stress caused and time lost if the car is towed away by VOSA or the police in the event of your driver or car being identified as uninsured or unlicensed, especially if you are on he side of the M3
Even if they do not display one, as some are exempt, all licensed Limosuine, taxi and private hire Chauffeur vehices must carry their vehicle license onboard for inspection at anytime as well as their valid taxi or private hire drivers license. If they are not on display or cannot produce them-ask why not?
All borough councils or the PCO office carry out the strictest security checks and validate all insurance documentation for each operator and driver before issuing each license, if they can’t produce one i would start to think seriously about continuing the journey.
Last years event followed up with 21 police prosecutions! dont let it be you this year.
See you there!
