It is now over 15 months since we had to raise our prices to keep pace with ever increasing costs. At that time, you may recall, I informed you that our prices would be set for a minimum of 6 months. I am now delighted to say that we were able to hold off any further increases to you until now.

However, and this is hardly breaking news for anybody that runs a car or uses fuel to heat their home, fuel prices continue to soar. In March 2007 the average pence per litre was on .91p compared to the national average of £1.29 today, an increase of 41%. We always aim to provide you an exceptional service at an affordable rate but the margins required to operate our business mean that I am afraid I can no longer absorb this kind of increase.

Escalating costs coupled with general inflation mean that after 15 months stability, we need now to increase our standard ground transfer tariff. To minimise the impact for you we will increase our prices in two stages. Firstly an increase will be just £5.00 net with effect from 01st July 2008; the second will be again a further £5.00 net with effect from 01st October 2008. Should fuel prices dramatically decrease over the course of the year, I will of course re-adjust the tariff accordingly.

On a more positive note, in order to continue delivering the level and standard of service you expect and require, over the coming month our existing fleet of S class Mercedes will be exchanged for the stunning new models. We have opted to purchase the same long wheel base models which you have enjoyed to date. I am sure you will be delighted with the superior ride quality, flawless design, level of comfort and impeccable safety record.
